Have you imagined a new way of thinking about your life? A new way of relating to others, understanding how valuable you are, and how much our world needs you to exist fully and authentically? My role as a therapist is to help you question and explore your inner needs and remind yourself that are capable of creating a life that is whole and fulfilling. With me, you’ll find a sense of acceptance, belonging, healing, and freedom.
I approach counseling from a holistic and trauma-informed perspective, there are multiple paths to recovery based on your unique strengths, needs, and experiences (including trauma). I deeply value the complex intersectionality of your life experiences, and I will tailor my support to match your needs. I can address a wide variety of concerns, including depression and anxiety, marriage and family relationship issues, parenting burnout, career burnout, and life adjustment, among others.
Being born and raised in China, with experiences living in Canada and the US, and now married into Icelandic culture while raising three children since 2013, I've had the privilege of viewing mental health through diverse cultural lenses. I excel at working with individuals from varied backgrounds, particularly in supporting adolescents, young and middle-aged adults, parents, or AAPI individuals. Mandarin and Cantonese services are available upon request.
I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. I also hold a Master's in Financial Economics from Boston University and a Bachelor's in Applied Economics from Hong Kong Baptist University. In my leisure time, I enjoy running, exploring recipes, mountaineering, and spending time with friends, family, and my furry friends.
As you consider your next steps toward a more empowered and authentic life, I invite you to embark on your therapeutic journey with me.
